Adjust your distancebox based off your team’s currentabilities and work toward increasingthe distance slowly as you havesuccessful runs. Try to stay in the box,whatever size you are working for4-15. Stay focus on not just “getting itdone” but maintaining a great dog line. Focus on both your body languageand your early verbal cues. Too easy? Make the box smaller andmix it up making 4-6 and/or 10-12 athreadle. Better yet make 10 abackside then threadle 11-12. Mixthings up so you are not just patterntraining the sequences. If you are great with distance skills thiswould be a great exercise to lead outinto the handler box before the dogstarts and staying there for the entirerun. Keep your training session happy andshort.
